It took eight long months for a special person to come along and realize that even though our Danny lost a leg due to horrific neglect, he is an amazing survivor and a beautiful soul. To say we cried as he left us would be a gross understatement. Danny, you left a hole in our hearts, but we are beyond thrilled that you found a mom that realizes just how amazing you are. We wish you the best life ever!

Eli was so badly injured when he came to P2CC, that he could not even lift his head. He had to be hand fed and picked up and held to go to the bathroom. To say that he made a miraculous recovery is an understatement. He is such  a sweet boy, and so lucky to have found three wonderful ladies that are ready to spoil him.

It is always extra special for us when a doggie that we have had from weeks old, and have literally watched as he/she grows, flies from our safe nest and into the arms of their forever family. Lori Beth, we love you and hope your family updates us with pictures of you when you are all grown up.
Our sweet Melissa, with the most velvety black coat that we have ever seen or felt, and the most gorgeous long legs, has found a mom that is ready to spoil her, and to show her what a real family is like. You will never have to be tick and flea infested again sweet girl!
When Harold was dumped at a high kill shelter by the family that was supposed to love him forever, he had two very big strikes against him. He is a senior dog, and he had a huge tumor on the bottom of his tail that extended to his rear. Those two facts meant that he would be euthanized. Paws 2 Care rescued him, and with the help of our wonderful supporters, Harold received his surgery, which was a total success. Harold was on many medications during his recovery, including four different pain meds to help with his agonizing pain. The grace and spirit that he showcased during this time, was a humbling experience and a lesson for us all. Our King Harold is now with a loving family that loves to care for senior dogs, and is willing and able to provide whatever care is needed in the future. It is very strange to walk in our little rescue and not see him lounging on the couch, or hear his cute little bark in the morning when he would hear the key turning to unlock the door. We believe that Harold crossed our path to teach us that difficult journeys can be experienced with dignity, grace, and a smile. King Harold, you will forever be in our hearts.
Our sweet Monroe was dumped at a high kill shelter with her babies. All her babies were adopted and she was left behind. You no longer have to play second fiddle to anyone pretty girl. You are front and center in your new mommy's life. We shall miss you.

Our active, active, very active pretty girl Mindy has a new family that loves her. Did I mention active? She also loves to snuggle though. Our wish for you is a life full of playtime and snuggle time sweetie.
Our Lully had a mom and dad that simply adored her. She spent her days surrounded by love, taking walks, sitting in warm laps, and taking a ride in the car every afternoon for a treat of Pollo Tropical chicken. Her mommy and daddy both passed away, and Lully came to us lost and confused. Through it all, Lully never lost her incredible sweetness and perfect demeanor. We are beyond thrilled that she has found a new mommy and daddy that will spoil her. We are not sure if she will be going to Pollo Tropical every day, but she will be traveling back and forth from Cape Cod to Florida! We will miss you sweetheart. Enjoy this new chapter of your life.
Intelligent, loving, playful, active, gorgeous, and beyond loving, are the adjectives that come to mind when asked to describe our Toby. Note to his new dad....Toby would make a great agility dog....We love you handsome.
Woo hoo! Our first double adoption of 2015. Joe, with the cutest under bite in the world, and Charlotte, our spunky Senior girl, have been adopted together. How wonderful!!
Look at the smile on our gorgeous Anthony! He knows he is heading for a beautiful future with his new mommy. Mommy's smile proves that she knows she found a gem.. Enjoy many years of joy together!
Our Gus always had a bit of sadness in his eyes, even when he knew he was safe with us. We can only imagine what he has been through in his past. He always craved human attention and quiet. He found it with his new mommy. We hope your sadness becomes a distant memory now that you have a loving mom and safe home sweetheart!
Our sweet Angie was rescued from a high kill shelter and was very sick with an upper respiratory infection. She actually had to be hospitalized for a few days when she was with us due to her illness. She came through with flying colors, and is now with a mom that adores her. We will never forget you Angie.
Emily Grace is pure sugar and love. To say that we will miss her is an understatement. Emily Grace, we know you will fill your new family's heart with joy. You are so special. Have a beautiful life.
Our adorable big fluffy baby girl Chrissy will be growing up in the arms of a loving mom and fur sibling. We wish you all the best sweetheart!
Aside from being absolutely gorgeous, our Gabriel is as sweet as they come. He is such a people oriented pup, that he really won the adoption lottery with his new family. Not only does he have a mom and dad, he also has three wonderful human sisters that are ready to spoil him like he so deserves.
Our sweet as her name suggests, Caramel, was found wandering the streets of Miami with a missing ear. When she came to us, we also found out she was HW+. All that is in the past. Her new family adores her. You will be missed sweet girl.
Although we love all animals, P2CC is technically a dog rescue. However, when Gio showed up at the work place of our head foster mom, we couldn't turn the other way. He is so sweet and such a lover that his middle name is Valentino. One of our fabulous volunteers offered to foster him until he found a home. She is a cat fanatic so we all knew the inevitable was going to happen. She kept denying it, but it happened as predicted. Gio is now part of our foster failure club.
Our baby Neto, with his Superman play biting skills, have left all of us at P2CC with battle wounds on some part of our body. He loves to play so much and doesn't realize how strong he is so it's always an adventure trying to redirect all that puppy energy. We all affectionately call our playtime bruises with Neto, as being "Netofied." He is a total sweetheart that deserves the best. His new family promises lots of playtime and lots of love. Neto, you will be missed. You have literally left your mark on us.
To say that Inty tugged at our heart strings is putting it mildly. He came to us emaciated and had lost most of his hair due to stress. The family that was supposed to love him, kept him outside 24/7 after the novelty of having a dog wore off. He craved one on one attention so while he did gain some weight with us, and we gave him plenty of love, it wasn't enough for this precious boy. He needed to be in a quiet environment where his psychological healing could begin. A shelter, no matter how wonderful it is, is not a quiet place. Inty, developed sores on his head due to his stress level. And, yet, through it all, he never pushed for attention. He would just stare at us with the saddest eyes. When he received one on one attention, you could see his stress level subside. Often overlooked by potential adopters, we just knew there had to be a loving family out there that would see how beautiful he is, and give him that chance to heal. Well, it was worth the wait. Inty, now Jake, has two dads that adore him. We are happy to say that after only a couple of weeks in a loving home, the dads updated us that Inty's sore on his head is completely healed, and his hair is growing back. We love you Inty.
Blake's story is one of rescue, heartache, and joy. He came to us from a high kill shelter ready to find his forever home. After a few days with us he became very ill. He was so sick that we had to inject him twice daily with fluids, give him breathing treatments twice a day, as well as medications twice a day. He became so weak that we literally had to pick him up and carry him outside so that could get some fresh air and go to the bathroom. When he needed to go to the bathroom, we had to straddle him and hold him so that he didn't fall over. It was so hard to watch him suffer that we began discussing the possibility of ending his suffering. The only thing that stopped us from making that horrible decision was the fact that through it all, Blake kept eating. We had to hand feed him, and he had lost a lot of weight, but he wanted to eat. After what seemed like an eternity filled with tears and prayers, Blake made it through. He is now healthy, goofy, happy, and in a loving home with a mom and dad that adore him. Blake, you took a piece of everyone's heart at P2CC when you left. You have taught us what it means to fight for what you want. We wish you only happiness and health from now on. You have touched us all in an indescribable way. We love and adore you.
Vladimir was born and was living at our head foster mom's house, so he is beyond spoiled. We had to make sure that he found a family that would continue the tradition. He is now being spoiled with his permanent mom and dad. Have a dream life Vladimir.
RJ was found wandering the streets in horrible shape. He was so matted and dirty that we really couldn't even discern what type of dog he is. When he got groomed, we couldn't believe it was the same dog. He is so sweet and craves human attention and love. He found a family that is going to spoil him with love and care, and has promised to buy him lots and lots of toys, which he absolutely loves. RJ, we hope the rest of your life is filled with warmth and love.
When Ivan was found on the streets, we thought for sure we would find his owners. He appeared to have been recently groomed and in very good physical shape. We were wrong. After weeks of trying to find his owners to no avail, we vetted him and placed him for adoption. People were fighting for this sweet boy. Not only is he gorgeous and sweet, but he is a total cuddle bug. Ivan, enjoy cuddling with your new mommy. We will miss you.

Ralph was rescued from a high kill shelter when he was a puppy, so we have watched him grow into the beautiful sensitive boy that he is today. He loves to be held and has such a sensitive soul. This family is so lucky to have found him, and Ralph is so lucky to have finally found a family that will love him forever. We all miss you gentle boy.
Our Patsy's theme song is "Girls just wanna have fun," by Cindy Lauper. This little girl loves the world and loves to play with anyone and anything. She is such a sweet girl and such a wonderful ambassador for shelter dogs. Patsy, we will miss your cheerleader spirit and your love for everything that comes in your path. Never lose that beautiful innocence. Your new family should feel blessed to have you. We miss you.
Mason came to us from a high kill shelter, and was so terrified that for the first couple of weeks we couldn't even touch him. When we took him out in the yard, he would run away from us and cower in a corner. We don't know what happened to him in the past to cause such fear in him, but it was heartbreaking to witness. He slowly began to trust us and a sweet boy emerged. He loves to play with other dogs and he loves to cuddle with humans he trusts. His distrust of new people and  new environments, caused him to be with us for quite some time. People would come to see him but all he would do is bark and cower in his crate. One day two lovely ladies walked in,full of love and patience. It was as though Mason knew he found his family. Mason had been waiting for them all along. He is so loved in his new home, and we are beyond thrilled for him. We love you Mason. No more fear for you. All that awaits you now is love, cuddles, and fun. Enjoy!
It is hard to believe that this sweetheart was roaming the streets of Miami without anyone looking for him. Raymond is such a sweet and gorgeous boy that potential adopters were lining up for him. He now has a mommy that has promised to spoil him rotten. Have a beautiful and safe life cutie pie.
Lucy Hope is just a puppy, but her short life was filled with abuse and neglect until she came to us. She was used as a bait dog, and when the "people" no longer had any use for her, they dumped her. When she came to us her little body was emaciated and filled with bite marks. She was so neglected that for one month we had to give her liquid iron in order to cure her anemia. However, what was worse than her physical wounds was her broken spirit. She would not even look up at us for the first few days at P2CC. This little girl is a survivor. It didn't take her long to heal physically and emotionally. She blossomed into this sweet, funny, and puppy crazy little dog. Lucy, we wish you years of health and happiness with your new family. No more abuse for you little angel.
Mork and Mindy were dumped in the Miami River. We don't know how long they had to fend for themselves, but when a good samaritan brought them to P2CC they were tick infested and had a dangerous case of hook worms. Though they were very ill, they were so sweet and grateful for their second chance. It was rough going for a couple of weeks, but they pulled through physically and emotionally. They are now with a mommy that adores them, and have even been featured in a commercial. From dumped and homeless, to loved and pampered. Enjoy your out of this world new life Mork and Mindy.
Rosa Marie is the last of the four pups that were taped up in a cardboard box and left on the side of the road to die. When they first arrived to P2CC, Rosa Marie was the one that was in the worst shape both physically and emotionally. She was so aggressive to people that we really had to be careful and give her the space she needed so that she can heal and trust humans again. It was a long road, but it was so worth it. To be able to witness her transformation from a scared and aggressive dog, to a trusting, gentle, and playful girl, has been a  blessing for us. Though she grew to trust and love us, she was still very weary of new people and behaved terribly when anyone would come to see her. We knew that it would take someone with patience and understanding to win over our Rosa Marie. Our prayers were answered. A gentle, wonderful man who happens to also be a man of the cloth found out about Rosa Marie, warts and all, and knew she was meant to be his furry daughter. Rosa Marie is now living in St. Petersburg Florida on the ocean with a dad that adores her and takes her everywhere with him. She has opened up even more, and is learning to trust new people. We couldn't ask for a more beautiful ending or shall we say beginning to this angel's story. Rosa, we will miss you and your beautiful chestnut/red hair, and your wonderful spirit of survival. You are an inspiration to us all.

Joe was dumped by the side of a road in the remote Redlands area of Miami. How anyone could dump a gentle, well behaved, and sensitive soul like Joe is mystifying. He is such a sweetheart that craves loves. It didn't take long for him to find a family to love him forever. A wonderful family that volunteers at our rescue, fell in love. He is now spoiled every day as he should be. We love you Joe.

Nigel was found in the Redlands area of Miami, injured and hungry. We don't know what happened to him, but we can't fathom how a fur baby that is so sweet and gentle ended up in that notorious dumping area for unwanted dogs. It is now in the past. His new mommy and daddy love him to pieces. We will miss your beautiful orange/brown eyes sweet boy. Enjoy your new life.
We absolutely love when one of our pups gets scooped up before we even get a chance to post them. This is what happened with our Vivi. Who can blame her new mom? Vivi is as sweet as they come and gorgeous inside and out. We love you Vivi.
Maxie and Caroline were abandoned in a shopping plaza parking lot. These poor babies waited for over three days for their so called "family" to come back for them, but the family never did. Lucky for them, some people that worked in the plaza, gave them food and water. A good samaritan was finally able to catch them and they made their way to us. They were scared and confused when they first came to us. It took a couple of weeks for them to realize that they were safe.  They are so sweet that a lovely lady that has already adopted one of our fur angels, fell in love with them when she came to drop off some donations. I have said it many times before. It is dangerous to spend any length of time at our little rescue. You are bound to fall in love. They are now safe and loved with their new mom and fur siblings. We love you sweet girls.

Lola Marie came to us mourning the loss of her dad. She had a wonderful life with a dad that loved her to pieces, until he passed away. She was so depressed and sad when she came, that it broke our hearts. She also came to us with a terrible eye, skin, and ear infection that needed to be treated. Near the end of his life, her dad was so ill that he couldn't properly take care of her, but he loved her so much that he refused to give her up. All this is in Lola Marie's past. She has found a new dad that loves her so much, that he told us that he doesn't know how he existed before she came into his life. We couldn't be happier. No more sadness for you Lola Marie. Enjoy being "daddy's little girl" again.

What can anyone say about Gabby except that she is sweet as molasses dipped in sugar. She was found by some high school students while they were walking home. They didn't want to take her to a high kill shelter so she made her way to P2CC. She didn't even make it on our web site of Adoptable Pets. Her mom came and instantly fell in love. Have a beautiful life sweet sweet Gabby.
Oreo was found with a retractable leash and a collar with a tag by a good samaritan. When he came to us we were positive that we would find the owners. Every lead with the collar and tag turned up a dead end. We wish he could tell us what happened because he is such a well behaved, happy, and well taken care of dog, that it has remained a mystery as to why we never found his family. Oreo absolutely loves toys. When he was with us, he would actually jump into the toy box we have outside and pick the toy he wanted. His favorite toy was a squeaky toy dumbbell. He loved it so much, that when he was adopted we gave it to his new family so that he can have it. His new mom and dad adore him and we are thrilled for his new beginning. His new mom told us that she has bought him tons of toys and that he loves them all. However, his favorite is still the one he took home from here. This fact has put a huge smile on all our faces. He knew he was safe here, and now he is safe and loved with his new family.
Our Bo, or "Bo Bo" was found running in the streets of Miami with his mom by a good samaritan. The good samaritan was able to catch him and bring him to us safe and sound. Unfortunately, his mom escaped. Bo was so scared when he first came to us that all he did was cower in the back of his crate. He slowly began to trust us, and his beautiful and sweet personality started shining through. Everyone in our little P2CC family fell madly in love with him....including one family that has already adopted two pups from us. They brought him home "just for the weekend." He never came back. We love you Bo Bo.
Jasper was rescued from a high kill shelter with such a horrible case of mange that all he would do is cry in pain. The mange had spread to all of his body, even the bottom of his feet. It was so painful for him to walk, that he would just lift his foot off the ground and wail. It was heartbreaking. Fast forward to today. After medical care, good food, and lots of love, Jasper has become a pup that is happy, fun loving and the life of the party. Jasper, play time in the yard is not the same without you. All the pups miss you, but we are beyond thrilled that you found your forever family.
Cody came to us when his human mom could no longer take care of him. To say that he is a perfect dog is a gross understatement. Quiet, sweet, perfect on a leash, housebroken and loving are just a few of his attributes. We knew he wouldn't be with us long. This family saw him online and said that they knew he was meant to be a part of their family. Cody you are missed.
Charlie was bought as a puppy for "the kids" which we all know is a recipe for disaster. Guess what? Charlie was kept in a crate and "oh no" he barked. Mom was very upset about the barking so she bought a shock collar to stop the barking. That didn't work. Poor Charlie would bark and when the collar shocked him he would cry. The neighbors complained so Charlie had to be disposed of. Mom brought him to us and even wanted to donate his shock collar so we could continue using it on him. We declined. It is a shame that people do not think about the responsibility of adding a fur baby to their home, especially a puppy. Dumping Charlie was the best thing that could have happened to our gorgeous boy. He now is with a loving dad and family that give him plenty of play time, exersize , and love. No more shock collars for you Charlie. Your dad and family adore you.
Ollie was found on the streets hungry and with a horrible skin condition. However, his spirit was not broken. From the first day he came to us his playfulness and sweetness shined. After good food, medication, and love, Ollie healed and is now with a loving family that has promised to love him forever. We love you Ollie.
Julie came to us with her mom and sister from a home that had way too many dogs. As a result she was very skittish, not socialized, and petrified when she arrived at P2CC. It took a couple of weeks but she slowly came out of her shell and her tail started wagging and she began to play just as a puppy should. She loves rope toys and playing chase. She is now with a family that has promised to give her all the attention and love that she deserves. Julie, your life is just beginning.
Beethoven was originally adopted from another shelter and was loved for seven years. The family fell on very hard times and they had to give him up. He is one of the most well behaved dogs that has come through our doors. He really is a sweet and playful gentleman. He now has a new mom and a fur sister to begin the next chapter of his life. We will miss you Beethoven.
Gidget was in a loving home her entire life until her mom became very ill and had to enter hospice. It didn't take long for her to find another mommy that is going to love and cherish her. Gidget, we are going to miss you and your hysterical little bark that sounds like a seal bark. We love you.
Benji is a casualty of divorce. He is so well mannered, mellow and GORGEOUS, that people were clamoring for him when he came to us. He is finally home with a mom and dad that love him and will give him the stability and safety that he deserves. We love you handsome boy.
Harry and Sally were found roaming the streets together in horrible condition. They were filthy, matted, and hungry, but that didn't stop them from being two of the sweetest dogs that have ever come through our doors. They are so bonded and love each other so much, that we promised them that we would not separate them. It took some time to find a family that would love both of them as much as we love them. It was worth the wait. They are so loved and this family now has two souls that can teach them and everyone that they come into contact with, what true love and devotion are all about.
Chanel thought she had a loving mom that was simply going on vacation and leaving her with relatives for a couple of weeks. The "loving" mom decided to abandon her and told the relatives to do whatever they wanted with her. The family proceeded to keep her outside in the yard 24/7. She is the sweetest most quiet girl that it is unfathomable how anyone could abandon her or leave her outside in the Florida heat, rain, and sun. Thank goodness she found her way to us and is now living with a mom that treats her like the family member that she is, not an object that can be discarded and left outside on a whim. Have a happy new life pretty girl.

Carrie was dumped next to a dumpster with her three baby girls. She is such a good girl and was such a good mom to her three daughters. It is now her turn to feel what love and security is all about. She has been adopted by a wonderful family that has adopted two other pups from P2CC. We love you Carrie (new name Rosita).
Our Penelope is home. Penelope lived her entire life outside, ignored by her so called family. She came to us in such horrible shape. She was extremely overweight from a thyroid condition that went untreated, and had hardly any hair due to the neglect and the hypothyroidism,. Fast forward to today. With lots of love and medication, Penelope has lost weight and has the most beautiful velvety coat. Everyone that sees her, calls her a big teddy bear. She now lives in a cozy home and is the center of attention . We love you Penelope. We will never forget you.
Our Pepito, aka "The Pepster" aka, "Sunshine Boy" aka "Drama King", waited for two long years to find someone that could understand what a special character he is. A volunteer fell in love with him and his BIG personality, and he is now home with her, a dad, a fur Sister, and two cats. He fits right in. Pepi , it was worth the wait. You can finally sleep in as long as you want every morning. We know how much you hated getting up early every day. We love you.

Elaine was the runt of the Seinfeld litter and the only girl. She was very sick when she was rescued and so tiny that we honestly had doubts that she would make it. Well, she made it and then some....She may have been the runt of the litter, but she certainly let her brothers know who was boss. She is so loving that we know that her new family will have many years of love to share with her.
Our Cody was found tied to a random stranger's fence, emaciated and scared. He is such a good boy that it didn't take long for him to find a family that will treasure him. He is home with a loving dad and a senior fur sister. Cody, we told your dad how much you love to play fetch. He promised us that you will have many years of love and hours of playing fetch every week. Enjoy the life you so deserve.
Esmarelda was almost not born. Her mom, Opal, was pregnant and due to be euthanized at a high kill shelter when we rescued her. Esmarelda was born at our rescue, so we have watched her grow and blossom. She is sweet as can be, and is sure to bring her new mom and human brother many years of unconditional love. Have a happy life Esmarelda!

Monica was found at a Ross store parking lot hiding with her four newborn babies. She was in horrible shape but a sweetheart from the first day she came to us, and a wonderful mom to her babies. She is finally home with a mom that cherishes her and promises to love her and protect her. Monica, you did a wonderful job with your babies. It's your turn now to be pampered. We love you.

Happy Tails

Thanks to the wonderful supporters of P2C and a foster mom that was willing to endure a grueling schedule of eye drops every couple of hours for some weeks after surgery, Mina can now see perfectly! Crazy, spirited, sweet Bebe captured the hearts of a wonderful family that volunteers at P2C, and has adopted Jack from us as well!

No one can resist our pups! This wonderful family volunteers at P2CC and broke their number one rule. They were not going to fall madly in love with any of our precious babies. This rule lasted two days!!! Kiefer is home with them and has a wonderful fur sister to grow up with!
Our little five pound casanova, stole everyone's heart at P2CC. JC we love you to pieces!
Our Lara came to us pregnant. She gave birth at P2CC, and was a wonderful mom, and always a sweetheart with us! She is spunky, playful, and loving. It is now her turn to know what a loving family is. She has a wonderful mom and dad, and a fur sister that was also adopted fromP2CC. Have a beautiful life..our crazy girl!
Krista was born at P2CC, so we literally watched her grow up for four months. To say that we will miss her is an understatement! We love you baby girl!
Two of the sweetest, prettiest, and well behaved sisters that have passed through our doors, have been adopted. Selena and Scarlett, you deserve only the best. You have left a void in our hearts, but we are beyond thrilled that you found your nirvana. It was way overdue!
Laura was due to be euthanized at a high kill shelter because she was HW+. P2C rescued her, she had her treatment, and is now healthy, happy, and home with a mom that treats her like the princess that she is.
Freddy was so scared at a local high kill shelter, that he wouldn't even raise his head up when potential adopters walked by. He is now part of a family that includes a human brother that does everything with him. Freddy even accompanies the mom to school, when it's time to pick up his brother. We wish you a blessed life Freddy.
Hector is a very special dog. Always loving but never demanding, playful, sweet, gentle....takes everything in stride, and very obedient. Some will say his new family rescued him. We believe, that he rescued them. We adore you Hector.
When Tito was first rescued by us from a high kill shelter, he was so scared that he would hide in the corner of his crate, and when we tried to take him for walks he would cower. All that is in the past. He is living the life that he deserves with a mom that adores him. Tito, you don't need to be afraid anymore! Enjoy your new life!
Our Sally is so special. Loves to receive love, but doesn't demand it, loves to be by your side even if you are busy, playful, loving, wonderful on walks, and has a quiet unassuming loyalty to the people she trusts. Have a wonderful life Sally. Your new family is very lucky to have you in their midst.
In ancient times, Shih tzu's were bred to keep the feet of royals in Tibet and China warm. They were treated as part of the royal families. Mickey George seems to know that he is descendant from royalty, thus earning him the nickname "Prince Mickey George." The Prince has found his new palace, which includes a mom and dad that love him, and boating at Key West! Have a royal life sweetheart! We will miss your special howl when you wanted to capture our attention!
Our Ernie "Caperni" has left us to grow up with human siblings that will spoil him rotten, play with him, and give him belly rubs. Ernie, we love you, and will never forget your playfulness, sweetness, gorgeous coat, and oh my, let's not forget your adorable freckles.Have a blessed life, gorgeous boy.
Our cutie girl Mona Lisa (now Penny), is another baby that left us in a flash. She is living with her fur sister, Rosie, that was also adopted at P2CC, and is teaching her new little sister, all about the world. Have fun baby girl.
When Nilo was rescued, he had been tied to a dog igloo outside in the Florida heat and storms with no human contact, by the people that were supposed to love and protect him. He was so starved for human attention, that for the first few weeks, anytime anyone showed him love and affection he would literally have an anxiety attack and we would have to calm him down. He has come such a long way and is now with a family that can't give him enough hugs and kisses, along with a huge yard that he can romp around in free of cable ties, and once he is done playing he can go inside his cozy home with the family that has given him a second chance. We adore you scruffy boy.

Mimi is a petite little girl that is a total lap dog. Her bark however, is 100% Rottweiler. Mimi we will miss people's expressions when they visited the rescue and heard such a huge bark come out of a little girl like you. We love you.

Pretty girl Romy, is home. We wish you the best pretty girl.
We are so thrilled that our Senior boy Donny found a loving family. We will miss you trying to protect us from strangers with your "ferocious" bark. You are so special, and forever in our hearts.
Our loveable, goofball, Giancarlo who is also a huge fan of belly rubs, had been left in an abandoned home to fend for himself. He is such a good boy, with so much zest for life. We are so happy for you sweetheart. Never lose your intense joy for life.
It is so wonderful when people adopt a senior dog. These people know what a gift  senior dogs are. Dora is so lucky. She has a wonderful new family, and by pure luck, she is living down the street from one of her foster moms. Enjoy this new chapter of your life, beautiful lady!
Trudy was so filthy and matted when she was rescued, that it took a couple of baths at our rescue, and a professional grooming, before the smell disappeared. Her sweetness and playfulness made her beautiful even in that horrible state. Well, she got cleaned up, and her physical beauty matches her inner beauty. Her new dad just adores her. We wish you a fairy tale life Trudy.
When Melita first came to us, she was so scared and shy, that she would literally wet herself when we approached her. She slowly learned to trust us, and her incredibly sweet demeanor came to light. This family is so lucky to have this angel. The name "Melita" means made of honey in the Greek language. Her name fits her perfectly.
Sometimes, we get doggies that have a hard time trusting strangers and are with us for a long time. People, usually want a dog that will immediately bond with them. But, if you really stop to think about it, do we as humans, trust strangers as soon as we meet them? Why do we expect dogs to immediately trust us? Ruby is as her name suggests, a gem. You have to earn her trust, however. This made many people overlook her. One of our fabulous volunteers decided to foster her since Ruby was starting to get very depressed. Well, after 14 months of waiting, Ruby is now part of the "foster failure" group and is officially adopted. Her mom and fur brother "Max" adore her, and we couldn't be happier. It was worth the wait Ruby. No more sad days for you.
Sabina's new mom, said she knew Sabina was destined for her, the minute she laid eyes on her. We are so happy that she will be surrounded by love from now on.
Adam's sweetness has left huge paw prints in our hearts. He wasn't with us long, but the short time he was, he was pure sugar and love. His mom fell in love instantly. We don't blame her one bit! Have a life full of sweetness and bliss!
Our Romey had a mom, until she lost her home and had to give him up! All that is in the past. His new mom and fur sibling have promised to love and protect him forever.
Our baby boy Mack is so delicious, that his new mommy fell in love with him in an instant! Who can blame her! Have a wonderful life baby boy!
Linda was dumped at a dog park. Lucky for her, a wonderful lady saw her and brought her to us. She wasn't with us long. A wonderful lady that came to volunteer and walk our fur babies, fell in love with her. I keep saying it and I will repeat it again. It is dangerous to volunteer at our little rescue. You are bound to fall in love and take one or two or three fur babies home. Have a beautiful life Linda. We will miss your cute underbite and your soft as velvet fur!
Our petite Jaimey was found wandering the streets of Miami on one of our rare cold spells here in Florida. People were actually stepping over her to get where they needed to go...completely ignoring this angel in need. Lucky for her, a rescuer was in the area trying to rescue another fur baby, and spotted her. Jaimey is so sweet and playful that it was a snap to find her a forever family. A family that already has adopted one fur angel from Paws2Care fell in love with her. They are renaming her Pepper, because of her "spicy" personality. We Love you sweety!
Suzy, or "Sassy Suzy", as we affectionately nicknamed her, was thrown over a fence in a corporate complex. Lucky for her, a wonderful woman who happens to be the boss of a P2CC volunteer, saw her, and took her in. The rest is history. She certainly has not let her past get in the way of her bright future. Sweet, loveable, pretty, and as we mentioned, sassy, are some descriptive words for this little lady. She didn't stay with us long. People were clamoring for her. We wish you a future full of light and happiness Suzy.
Someone was watching over Alexa when she was rescued. Two good Samaritans stopped oncoming traffic on I-95 to pluck her from certain death. When she arrived at P2CC she was in horrible shape. She had a terrible skin infection as well as being emaciated from lack of proper nutrition. She made a remarkable recovery in less than three weeks, and is now being spoiled by her new family. She sleeps every night on her dad's belly....such a daddy's girl. We love you Alexa!
Andre was rescued from the streets by a good samaritan who tried in vain to find his owners. How no one was searching for this sweet boy is beyond us. He is so sweet and so gorgeous that he almost doesn't look real. He resembles a stuffed animal....that is how beautiful he is. He didn't stay with us long. A wonderful couple fell in love with him and now he has a wonderful home and yard that he can play and be safe in. Have a great life sweet boy!
Venus was bought as a puppy, and because she sheds, the family relegated her to the storage closet of the apartment complex that they resided in. There were no windows and no ventilation. To make matters worse, she was tied to a post inside the closet. The first day she came to P2CC, she was so amazed that she had ample space in our yard to run around in, she just kept running circles around the yard non stop. This continued for quite a few days, until she realized that we weren't going to confine her and she slowly calmed down. She is now living with a mom that adores her in a cozy home, just as it was meant to be. Enjoy, pretty girl.
Our cuddly Teddy, was found on the side of the road in a crate with a bag of food next to it. When he came to us, we also found out that he was HW+. All this didn't deter Teddy's spirit. He was sweet as can be from the first moment he arrived. He received his HW treatment and is now healthy and living the life that he deserves with a mom that loves him and promises to keep him safe for the rest of his life!
Our crazy, playful, sweet, and did I mention playful, Stretch, has  found a family that includes two human siblings that he can share his crazy antics with. Stretch we will miss you running around the yard so fast,  like a lunatic, that you would bang your whole body against the metal posts of our awning, and you would just keep going. We hope you never lose your fun loving spirit.
Josh or "Joshy Woshy" is the second pup from the four that were taped up in a cardboard box and left to die, that has been adopted. He is such a sweetheart, and such a gentle soul, that his "daddy" fell in love with him immediately. He will now be enjoying a quiet life filled with love, as well as a life filled with many travels. We already have been informed that he went on his first trip and did wonderfully. Joshy, we will never forget you, or the beautiful red/chestnut color of your hair. We love you.
On the very day that we rescued Lori, she was due to be euthanized at a high kill shelter due to her "aggressive" nature. It turns out that her aggression was the only way she knew how to cope with her fear. As soon as she came to us and felt safe, her sweet demeanor came alive. She is so sweet and loving that she became a volunteer favorite. It didn't take long for her to find a home and a mom that adores her. We love you sweetheart.
Cotton is another fur baby that was recently found wandering the streets alone. He was in good shape and his microchip was registered. We were positive that he would be reunited with his family. However, the owners had moved and never bothered to update the microchip information. We tried in vain to find his family, but hit a dead end. He is the sweetest and goofiest little fluff ball of a Peke, so people were fighting for him. One of our fabulous volunteers fell in love and the rest is history. Have a beautiful new beginning Cotton(now Milo).
Angel was rescued from a high kill shelter with a horrible eye infection and old chemical burn scars on his little body. Through four different eye medications three times a day for quite some time, Angel was true to his name.. sweet as can be... a true angel in fur. He became quite a little celebrity when he attended a fundraiser for P2CC at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Pembroke Pines Fl. He became a wonderful ambassador for "rescue pups" and the love they have to offer. His eye will require one medication for the rest of his life, but thankfully, he did not lose his sight. His new mom and dad love him so much. Mom told us that she loves him so much that she can't even breathe when she looks at him. We couldn't be happier to hear that. Angel, continue working your magic with everyone you meet. We love you and miss you, but are thrilled for your new life.
Beautiful Chloe thought she had a forever family that would love her forever, but as soon as the mom had human children, Chloe just didn't matter anymore. She was only "a dog." She was relegated to a crate 24 hours a day with barely any human interaction. That's okay Chloe. That family has no idea what they have given up. You now have a mom and dad that know that you are not just "a dog," but a beautiful, sentient being that is capable of teaching us mere humans what true love and forgiveness means. We wish you a life full of pampering and unconditional love. You deserve it.
What is not to love about all three and one half pounds of our little Gavin? We knew he wouldn't be with us long. He is pure sweetness. Enjoy your new beginning munchkin. You are so special.
Logan is undeniably the most intelligent dog that we have ever had at P2CC. He was born on the streets and was the leader of a pack. His whole pack was rescued pretty quickly, but it took over a year to catch this handsome boy. When he first came to us he was so miserable being confined that he found a way out of his living space and chewed through metal in less than five minutes. We actually had to put a padlock on his crate so he wouldn't escape. He was so stressed that we couldn't even put bedding in his crate because he would tear it up and eat whole pieces of it. It got to a point in the beginning, that we seriously questioned if rescuing him was the right thing to do. Well, our question was answered, as we found out that he was HW positive. His disease had progressed so much that it required two treatments instead of the usual one. Logan became healthy, and grew to trust us, but he was still weary of new people. He was never aggressive toward strangers but he demonstrated either fear or no interest when people came to see him. It took over fourteen months for someone to see in him what we at P2CC saw all along. Logan, you took a huge piece of our hearts when you left. There are no sufficient words to describe the mark that you left on us. We love you to pieces. Have a wonderful new lease on life.

Oliver was with a family, until that family treated him like an old television set, and threw him out on the curb. He is such a sweet boy, that we knew he would find a family that would cherish him forever. Enjoy your new family Oliver...especially your fur brother, and your human siblings.
Our petite and sweet little Shayna was kept in a crate her whole life and used as a breeding machine by greedy people. She is so tiny, that each birth had to be done via C-section. When the vets told these people that she would die if she had one more litter, they were ready to dump her on the streets. Lucky for her, a good samaritan found out about this, and she was brought to us. Shayna, your life has changed forever. You are now with a loving family, free to roam where you want in your house, and free to sleep in the loving arms of your family. We wish you only joy from now on!
Tessa is another baby that was used for breeding and then discarded. She is so sweet that it took about five minutes for her to find a mom, dad, and fur brother that adore her. Now, instead of looking outside of a crate all day, she goes out to dinner at restaurants and has all the comforts that she deserves. We love you Tessa.
Our Maryanne has left the island of P2CC, and is beginning her new life with a dad that adores her. Her daddy happens to be greek, so true to the Greek tradition of naming your daughter after your mom, he has renamed her Georgia or Georgie for short, after her grandma, or "yiayia." Georgie, enjoy your new big fat greek life. I am positive that you will never have a dull moment among your extended family. We love you.
Our sensitive Mathew was found on the streets of Miami, injured and scared. We don't even want to imagine what he went through before he was rescued. We choose to think only of his bright future with a mom dad and fur sibling that love him to pieces. Mathew, you are so special. You will be missed.
Words can't describe how happy we are for Christopher. Smart, quiet, and not flashy, He was often overlooked by potential adopters, who failed to see what a sweetheart and wonderful companion he is. He saw many of his friends come and go, while he was left behind. We kept telling him that someone was going to see what a gem he is and scoop him up. Well, our patience paid off. His mom and dad love him to pieces. We wish you years of love and fun. Enjoy your life here in Florida, and your apartment in Manhattan. You deserve the best..
Tulip was rescued from a high kill shelter with a horrible skin condition. It was so bad, that she had to be put under anesthesia so that the vet could remove all the hair that was stuck on her skin with blood and puss. Needless to say, she was in pain and very afraid. She was in such bad shape that we would take her out alone in the yard instead of with the rest of the pups when it was play time. Well, let's fast forward to post recovery. Tulip became the Alpha dog of Paws 2 Care, and she became crazy playful with the "select few" pups that she considered her "crew." Playtime in the yard was INSANE with Tulip spearheading the madness every day. It is so amazing to watch these miraculous transformations occur in these angels.....both physically and emotionally. Tulip, we miss you like crazy, but are so happy that you are with a family that loves you so much.
Max was adopted a few years ago from a high kill shelter by a woman that he thought was going to be his mommy forever. His life was wonderful, until "mommy" found a boyfriend. At first all was ok until they decided to get married. The husband to be also had a dog, and he didn't want two in the household. It was at this point that Max was kicked to the curb by the woman that was supposed to love and protect him for the rest of his life. He came to us so confused and sad but sweet as can be. He is so beautiful inside and out, that he wasn't with us long. He now has a family that will love and protect him FOREVER. We miss you Max.
Lucy is Lola Marie's "sister" and came to us mourning the loss of her dad as well. It is so hard for dogs to adjust to shelter life after being in a loving home. Lucky for her, she is so pretty and sweet that people were fighting to adopt her. She found a mom, dad and a fur sibling that love her and have promised to keep her safe and loved from now on. We love you Lucy.
Daryl is another pup that was the victim of an owner who believes that pets are disposable, and they can be dumped at a moment's whim... Daryl was so confused when he came to us. He didn't know what he did wrong and why he was dumped. He is such a sweet baby that thankfully he wasn't with us long. He now is enjoying his new life with a mom and dad that know that pets are part of the family and should be treated as such. Have a wonderful life Daryl.
We will not focus on the fact that Billy was dumped by his so called family. Rather, we will focus on his new beginning. His mom loves him so much.... Billy, now Willie, is even a bit of a celebrity. He has his own Instagram page "Willie the Westie." with people following him. Enjoy your new lease on life, Willie.
Our petite Hannah, was seen by us running in the parking lot across the street from our shelter. When we ran over to get her, her "so called family'' was right there not in the least concerned that her life was in danger. They didn't want her, and surrendered her to us right then and there. This was the best thing that could have happened to this sweet girl. This beautiful couple fell in love, and Hannah is now living a luxurious life with a mom, dad, and a senior brother. Enjoy a charmed life sweetheart.
Marisa was bought as a puppy and when her family realized that a puppy is a lot of work and not all fun and games, they decided to dispose of her. That's ok though. They didn't deserve her. Marisa found a family that will treat her like the precious little girl she is. Enjoy your new beginning, pretty girl.
Camilio was bought by a woman who knew that her landlord didn't allow pets. She thought that she could hide him. Well, we know the end to that chapter. The landlord found out and Camilio had to go. He is such a good boy and so gorgeous that we had many people vying for the privilege of adopting him. This wonderful family fell head over heels in love with him, and are now spoiling him rotten as he so deserves. Enjoy your life baby boy!
Once in awhile we get a dog at P2CC that is so popular with potential adopters that we have a hard time deciding who will be the lucky person/persons to adopt him/her. In all our years at our little rescue, Thomas is hands down the most popular dog we have had in our midst so far. Everyone wanted to come meet him. You would think this was a good thing. Unfortunately, Thomas was so scared of new people and didn't trust anyone that came to see him. This caused everyone that came to turn away. We tried to tell people that if they just came a few times a week and spent time with him, they would eventually see another dog. No one seemed to want to put in the time and effort for this, until this couple came along. It was rough going for the first couple of visits but they didn't give up. Slowly, Thomas grew to trust them and the rest is history. Mom told us that Thomas acts as if he has been in their home forever. How wonderful is that? This happy tail is a lesson of patience for us all. Some rescue pets just need some extra time to trust again, but how beautiful is the reward for all involved when they finally turn that corner and allow us to enter their heart!
Nene was found living under a car and was brought to us by a good samaritan. Apparently he was under the car for a few days because many neighbors had seen him, but no one bothered to help until the good samaritan became involved. He had a registered microchip so we were sure we would be able to reunite him with his family. After repeated phone calls by us and the microchip company no one called back. Nene was dumped. Whoever dumped him obviously could not appreciate what a great dog he is. Gentle, sweet, obedient and gorgeous are just some adjectives that describe him. His new mommy fell instantly in love and Nene is now beginning another chapter in his life which includes hiking, walking, trips with mom and lots of love. Enjoy, gorgeous boy!
Pretty Tilly was found on the streets, so we don't know her history. We do know that she is sweet as can be and very timid when she first meets you. Once she feels safe and comfortable she is very playful and loves to play chase. Enjoy your new family pretty girl.
Otter is only a puppy, yet he was dumped on the streets to fend for himself. He is so sweet that it didn't take long for him to find a loving home. Otter, 5 am in the yard is not the same without your barking and playing. Enjoy your life with your dad.
Annie came to us with her two daughters, Julie and Barbie, from a hoarding situation. Julie got adopted, and Annie was left with her one daughter. We originally thought that they would be ok adopted separately, but soon realized that momma Annie really relied on Barbie to show her that things were ok. Annie was very timid and her daughter always helped her with new situations and new people. We are happy to say that they are now home together with a loving mom and human sister. We love you pretty girls.
Bosco was found wandering the streets alone in Miami. Fast forward to today. He is in a loving home that includes a fur sibling that was also adopted from us. Have a wonderful life Bosco.
Zander was dumped in a parking lot. We will never understand the reason why, but it all turned out for the best. He now is with a family that includes a human brother that told us that Zander "picked him to be his brother." They are inseparable..how wonderful is that? We love you sweet boy.
Lynn was in such horrible shape when she arrived at P2CC that we didn't even know what breed or color she was. She had such a horrible skin condition and her hair was so matted with the scabs and dried blood, that her hair appeared to be the color brown.....fast forward to today...after medical care, good food, and lots of love, Lynn blossomed into this gorgeous poodle mix girl with the silkiest and softest white hair, that when people saw her before/after pictures, they didn't believe it was the same dog. We don't know what happened to this sweet angel in the past, but we do know that her future is beautiful and bright with a family that loves her. Good luck pretty girl. We love you.
Timmy is a Senior and blind so he was discarded like a used television. It's never easy to get a senior pup adopted. People always want the young dogs and overlook what wonderful companions these seniors make. Timmy is one lucky little boy. He wasn't with us long at all. A wonderful lady who loves to rescue senior pups fell in love. He is now living in a loving home that appreciates all that he has to offer.
Gracie was found roaming in Miami. We don't know what happened that caused her to end up on the streets. She is sweet as sugar and the only thing she needs to be happy is a human lap to sit on. She is the true definition of a "lap dog." She now has two laps that she can sit on anytime she wants. Her new mom and dad are spoiling her as she so deserves.
Paco was originally bought as a puppy at a pet store by an elderly lady. He was loved and taken care of. Unfortunately, his mom had an accident and had to go live with relatives. He wasn't wanted there, so poor Paco had to go. Everything worked out for the best. Paco is now in a loving home with a mom that adores and loves him unconditionally. We will miss you handsome.
"NEWMAN" has left the building. Crazy, fun, spirited, loving....did I mention crazy??? He will most certainly keep his new family busy. We will miss chasing you all over the yard Newman, Enjoy your new family...
Dingy had a very loving dad and was very happy until unfortunately his dad passed away. No one in the family wanted poor Dingy, so he went from a safe, loving home to a shelter. He was very sad and depressed and it took him quite some time to open up. He is such a good boy that we knew his second chance was right around the corner. His new mommy read his story and felt an instant connection. She had recently lost two very close family members and was grieving. She knew that they both needed each other. It has worked out perfectly. New mom is spoiling him rotten, and Dingy is filling her heart with love. We love you Dingy!
Jerry is another one of our "Seinfeld" pups. He is sweet as can be and the most quiet of the litter. His middle name should be "cuddle bug." His new mom, dad, and fur sibling will be enjoying many years of cuddles with this adorable little boy. Have a great life Jerry!
Valentino had a family that lived in a trailer park. The trailer park was demolished, and his so called family left and didn't take him with them. He stayed by the area where his old house was, waiting for them to come back. The only time he would leave was to cross the street where some nice people that worked in the area would feed him. It took some time to catch him, as he didn't want to leave the area. He was waiting for the family that was supposed to love him. It is so sad that these precious creatures have such loyalty for the humans that discard them like yesterday's trash. He was finally caught and he came to us. He was very shy and timid, but did eventually open up to us and his loving personality emerged. He is now with a loving human family and has two fur siblings. You definitely are not yesterday's trash with your new family, Valentino. They adore you.

Elvis is one lucky hound dog. He was due to be euthanized at a high kill shelters. The volunteers and workers there loved him so much, that they kept him alive even though he was past due. He finally came to us, and was scooped up by a wonderful couple that plan to spoil him forever!!!!
Andy was so scared when he first came to us, that he would freeze like a statue whenever  anyone approached him. He doesn't have to be scared anymore. He has a wonderful dad that has promised to love and protect him! We love you handsome boy!
Holly came to us with a horrible case of mange and an eye infection. This girl is such a sweetheart that she never flinched when her medication was given. Instead of flinching, she would give kisses. Even though her skin isn't completely healed yet, a family saw her beauty and fell in love. We don't know who is more lucky. Is it Holly that now has a wonderful family, or is it the family that has this angel in their midst?
Our Goldie had people clamoring for her from day one. She is not only beautiful on the outside, but she has a beautiful soul as well. We wish you the happy life that you deserve, Goldie.

Enjoy the comforts of a cozy loving home. You so deserve it!
Jenny, the last of the Happy Days gang is finally home. Sweet, independent, and curious, are few adjectives to describe our pretty girl. Have a beautiful and blessed life little girl. Your independence and fearlessness gave us quite a scare at one point, but we are so glad it didn't affect your spirit! Love you!
We knew Patrick would not be with us very long. He not only is cute as a button, but his personality is precious. Patrick, you won't need to roam the streets alone again. Your new family adores you.
When Rocco was rescued from a high kill shelter, he was so matted and filthy, and had such a horrible ear infection, that the stench was unbearable. Through it all, Rocco was a sweetheart. We could see he was in pain, but he never complained. He took it all in stride. He is now healthy, and has a mom and dad that love his laid back nature. Have a great, quiet life handsome boy. You are so special.
Sometimes pictures speak one thousand words. This picture captures the love that Nico's new human brother and mom have for him.  We love you gentle boy. Have a beautiful life.
Luigi is another baby that was kept outside instead of safe in a home. When he went to his new home, his new dad could not stop repeating that this was the happiest day of his life. I am sure Luigi felt the same. New dad also promised to fatten him up and to teach him Ukrainian. Luigi just may be the first trilingual dog-Italian, English, Ukrainian. We love this happy ending.

Lucy's new mom told us that it was fate that brought her to Lucy. She had just decided to adopt and had made up her mind that she was going to name her new pup, Lucy. Well, when she saw Lucy's face on the internet, she fell in love. When she realized that her name is Lucy, she just knew that the stars had brought them together. Some things are just meant to be.

Every dog that walks through our doors has a sad story to tell. In most cases, our little rescue is heaven on earth for the dogs that enter our shelter. But, once in a while, we receive a dog that has been in a loving home his whole life, and suddenly he loses his human, and ends up in what he probably considers a jail..... Paws2Care. Such was the case for Mickey. He had a mom that adored him. She became very ill and entered hospice. The family of his mom, discarded Mickey like a piece of worthless garbage. It took some time, but Mickey found a new mom and human sister, along with a fur sister that have promised to never discard him. We will miss watching you sleep with your cute little tongue hanging out of your mouth Mickey.. Enjoy your quiet new life. You deserve the best.
The fact that our tiny little Betsy survived on the streets is a miracle. She now has a mom and a dad that are going to protect her and love her. From the looks of this picture, she is definitely daddy's little girl!

Our Nina that resembles a little lamb with Yoda ears, demands attention from everyone she meets because she knows she deserves it. She became the diva of Paws2Care, and now is the diva in her new mommy's heart. We adore you sweetheart.
Woo hoo! Mimi, one of our fabulous volunteer trainers has been giving her time and expertise at Paws 2 Care for a few years.Zachary was with us for some time and kept getting overlooked by potential adopters because he never demanded attention. Well, now we know that he had a plan. He wiggled his way into Mimi's heart.  We  don't need to wish you a great life baby boy! We know you will have a fabulous life being a part of Mimi's pack! We are thrilled!
We were all starting to get very upset that sweet and beautiful Annabelle was not being noticed by potential adopters. It took eight long months for a family to notice just how amazing she is. It was worth the wait. She has a mom and dad that adore her, and a fur sibling to play with. Enjoy your new chapter in life sweetheart.
If Fernie was in high school, for his Senior yearbook, he would be voted "most well rounded." He is sweet, playful, wonderful on walks, always up for a belly rub, gets along with everyone, and talks to you when he wants to get your attention. A few weeks ago he was living in a shopping plaza parking lot. Today, he is living with a mom that adores him, a warm bed to sleep in, delicious food, fun toys, and a vacation home. You deserve it all Fernie. Have a wonderful life.

Nathan was wandering the streets alone and scared. He was extremely skinny, matted, and Heartwtorm positive. The heartworms had compromised his heart so much that the treatment had to be done in two installments

instead of the usual one. We are so happy that he made it through and now has a wonderful mommy that is planning to pamper him and never leave him alone. She plans on taking him with her wherever she goes. We love to hear that! We will miss you Nathan.

Scooter or "Scooter pie" as we affectionately call him, survived over 20 days at a high kill shelter. He had a URI and a contagious skin infection, which scared away potential adopters. Look at him now. Healthy and happy, with his new family. Scooter pie, we will miss your laps around the yard, and your penchant for having FUN FUN FUN! You are so special. We love you.
Sofia, along with her two brothers and mom, were taped in a cardboard box and thrown in the street to die. Luckily they ate through the cardboard and got out. They came to us with Scabies, hair loss, and eye infections. All this did not deter Sofia's spirit. Now completely healed, Sofia is home with a family that fell in love with her at first sight. She has a mom and dad and two human siblings that adore her. No more suffering for you pretty angel! Enjoy your new life.
Maximus is a perfect example of how fostering saves lives. He is a Senior boy and was at a high kill shelter with a horrible skin infection. That combination is a recipe for death at high kill shelters. A wonderful P2CC volunteer offered to foster Maximus until he was healed and found a forever home. Fast forward to today, and you see Maximus is happy, healthy, and in a loving home with a dad that adores him. Fostering saves lives!!
Anyone familiar with South Florida knows that the intersection of Miramar Parkway and State Road 7 is a very dangerous place for dogs to be roaming. Laverne and Shirley were literally dumped there by the people that were supposed to be their protectors. They were both hit by cars but thankfully managed to walk away with scrapes and bruises. A wonderful lady who found out that they were roaming around that area for quite some time brought them safely to us. To say that they were scared when they arrived is putting it mildly. They were a mess. Laverne was so tick infested that she had developed an infection that needed to be treated with antibiotics. It took a bit, but they slowly came out of their shells. They became these sweet, beautiful, and playful girls. They are so bonded that we promised to keep them together. We kept the promise. They are now in a safe and warm home with a mom and dad and a yard that they can play chase in(their favorite outside activity). We will miss you girls but are so happy that you can put the horrible neglect behind you and learn what love  is.
We have no idea how a beautiful and sweet angel like Gina ended up alone and fending for herself on the streets. She is such a princess and craves human love and attention. Well, her past is behind her. She is so loved by her new mom and is being pampered with hugs kisses and spa days which we know she loves. Gina, you deserve all the pampering in the world. Enjoy your new beginning Princess.
Our Pancho has found a mommy that will love him unconditionally. New mom told us that he has filled an emptiness in her heart. Pancho we will miss your squeals and cries that sound like a cross between a cat and a piggy, when you want attention. You are precious!
Willy was adopted a little over three years ago from a high kill shelter.  At the time, he probably felt that he had found a family that was going to love him and care for him for the rest of his life. He was wrong. The family decided to go on vacation, and since Willy was now an inconvenience to them, they were going to dump him right back at the high kill shelter, instead of "wasting" money on boarding him. It turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to Willy. When he came to us, his skin was in terrible shape as well as his eyes. He obviously was not well taken care of. We also realized that he is deaf. His deafness does not deter him in the least. He is the most loveable, confident, and sweet boy. He now has a mom, dad, and human brother, that will protect and love him forever. We wish you the best sweet Willy.
Hazel was found by a good samaritan, wandering the streets in the rain alone and scared. When we took her to the vet, we also found out she was heartworm positive. We are happy to say that she had her treatment, is doing wonderfully, and has been adopted by a mom and dad that adore her. Hazel, you .don't have to be afraid anymore. We love you
Preston was homeless on the streets of Miami for quite some time before a good samaritan scooped him up and brought him to us. He is so sweet that it didn't take long for him to find a dad that is going to love and protect him forever. Now, instead of roaming the streets alone, he is in a loving home filled with toys, warmth, and his very own jeep shaped bed. Dad drives a jeep, so his son has to have one as well. Enjoy your new chapter Preston.
Andrew John is one of the four pups that were taped up in a cardboard box and thrown on the side of a road to die. He came to us in horrible condition. He had scabies and an eye infection, but he knew he was safe. He was a total sweetheart from day one. We knew it wouldn't take long for someone to see how amazing he is. He now has a mom that adores him and loves him to pieces. We love you Andrew John.
This is probably not the best happy tail pic we have ever taken, but if you know Daisy Mae, you certainly know the reason why. Daisy Mae has such a zest for living life to the fullest that it is hard to get her to sit still. That is her charm and why she was a favorite with some volunteers. She does love to cuddle as well, but only after she has spent every last bit of energy she has in that cute little body of hers. Her mom and dad fell in love the moment they saw her. Have a great, busy, one hundred mile an hour life Daisy. We wish you many years of adventures with mom, dad, and your fur sister.

Carla Jane was born and living behind some railroad tracks in Miami along with more than twenty other dogs. Her only experience with humans was when some nice people would throw food at them or when some horrible people would hold contests to see who could side swipe the most dogs by driving a car really fast toward them and flinging open the passenger car door when a dog was close to it. She came to us with a terrible eye and skin infection, and a damaged soul. She would literally wet herself when we tried to touch her. Well, fast forward to today and Carla Jane is a goofy, goofy, happy girl with the people she trusts. She still is very afraid of new people so it wasn't easy with potential adopters. But, some things are meant to be. This family read her story and saw her before and after pictures, and knew they needed her as much as she needed them. Carla Jane, we love you.

Beautiful Arlene was bought as a puppy, and as it is in so many cases, after the novelty of having a puppy wore off, she was relegated outside 24/7. She is such a sweet, beautiful, and playful girl that loves everyone and everything. Her new family is so lucky to have her in its midst. She is a true beauty.. in every sense of the word.
Here we go again.... another sweet, beautiful fur baby, dumped by their so called mom and dad simply because they were going to have a "human" baby.  Coco, we will never understand why your "parents" didn't consider you a part of their family, but it turned out for the best. You deserve a family that understands that fur babies are an important part of any family, and not just objects that can be discarded like pieces of trash at a moments whim. Your new family loves and cherishes you. Enjoy your new life baby girl.
As cute and delicious as Samuel is, he was often overlooked by potential adopters for the simple reason that he doesn't demand attention. Well, look at the smile on his face. He was waiting for his new mommy to find him and give him the love and care that he deserves. Samuel, we love you, and wish you years of smiles, and love with your mommy.
The queen of P2CC has moved to a new palace to be served by her new subjects. Tasha was to be euthanized at a high kill shelter because she was in such bad shape that the vets thought she was going to die anyway. When we rescued her, she could barely walk, had lost patches of hair, and would not eat. After a visit to our vet, and some medication to reduce inflamation from an old injury, Tasha blossomed into quite a character. We could barely keep up with her, and she showed her true colors. She has the biggest personality for such a little dog. She demands to be treated like royalty, and she will talk to you to let you know just how she feels about everything and anything. Tasha, P2CC is not the same without you. Please be kind to your new servants..we love you.
Our gorgeous, long legged Ginger, is one of the girls of the Gilligan's Island family that we have had the pleasure to take care of.She is no longer a cast away . She has found two moms that love her and has moved to her own island to start her new life. We miss you pretty girl.

Sweet and gorgeous Chewy, was originally adopted by a family from a high kill shelter. The family loved him to pieces, but unfortunately, their other fur baby would not accept Chewy as part of the pack. He was very confused when he first came to us. He couldn't understand what happened and what he did wrong to be returned to another shelter. Well, it's all in the past. Chewy has found his forever home and is loved and safe.

Sweet, playful, and cute as a button Finley, was found running in the streets. He wasn't with us long. He is such a sweetheart, and true to his Irish name, was adopted by a family of Irish descent, who were dying to meet him because of his name. They fell madly in love with him and his deliciousness and added him to their pack. Have a great life Finley.
Our Jimmy Buffet has left the nest. He was rescued from a high kill shelter and the rest is P2CC history. He is the sweetest boy with a lot of stubborness, so he is quite a handful. Of course, all of us at P2CC are guilty of not correcting his "naughtines." He is so sweet and such a cutie, that when he first came to us, whenever he did anything bad, instead of correcting him, we would kiss him, and say "awww." Dogs are very smart. He quickly learned that he could get away with pretty much anything because of his "cuteness overload." This was ok with us, but not ok with most potential adopters. Lucky for us, one of our fabulous volunteers, Helene, who is a "sucker" for difficult cases (she adopted Ruby, another one of our dogs with major trust issues), decided to take him home "just for the weekend." Well, "just for the weekend turned into "just for the rest of their lives." We love you Jimmy and Helene.
Britney was dumped on a highway in a travel crate and left there to die. Lucky for her, someone found her and she eventually made her way to us. Spirited, fun, crazy, sweet, best describe our Britney. She will never be dumped again. Her new mom, dad, and fur sibling, adore her. Enjoy your life Britney. We wish you a life full of sunshine and fun.
Laz, or "Lazzy Wazzy" as we affectionately call him is the swetest cutest little boy with the most adorable antenna ears that we have ever seen. He is so well behaved and so well rounded, that his new mom and dad couldn't wait to take him home. We don't blame them. He is pure love.. Lazzy Wazzy, enjoy your new family life.
Wally, or "Wally Waddles" as we affectionately nicknamed him, survived for over one month at a high kill shelter. He is a senior boy, so anyone that knows anything about high kill shelters, knows that being a senior in one of those shelters is dangerous. Seniors have a slim to none chance of making it out alive. Wally Waddles had an angel watching over him. He is so sweet that everyone at the shelter fell in love with him. So, they kept him alive until he was lucky enough to be rescued by us.  He didn't stay with us long. His sweetness won a wonderful lady's heart and he is now enjoying his golden years being pampered and loved. Wally,we love you.
Emilio's story is a lesson of survival and forgiveness . He came to us with a broken jaw . This horrific injury was inflicted upon him when he was only months old by the person that was supposed to protect and love him. His injury was so bad that it required two surgeries and two months of being fed intravenously with a syringe. Through it all, Emilio demonstrated what forgiveness is all about. He was such a trooper and just so happy to be alive. He trusted us from day one, which is really unbelievable considering the horrific abuse he suffered at the hands of a human. His so called "owner" was arrested, and a lengthy legal battle ensued. We could not place him for adoption until the abuse case was closed, so he was with us for quite some time. A wonderful young man and his family fell in love with him. They were very patient and came to visit Emilio twice a week until he was ready to go. Emilio is finally home. We will miss you gorgeous boy....especially your sky blue eyes. Thank you for showing us mere mortals what forgiveness and turning the page on an ugly past really is all about. We wish you the most perfect life with your dad and his extended family. They love you to pieces, and we couldn't be more grateful.
Sweet sweet Gail was found on the street by a good samaritan. When she arrived, she was very pregnant and we could see she was very uncomfortable. We took her to the veterinarian and after an ultrasound was done the vet said that she needed to have a c-section right away because the babies were too big for her petite frame and she was sure to die giving birth. The babies were born alive, but sadly they didn't survive. They were too premature. As sad as this was for us, we are grateful that Gail pulled through and is doing great. Her adoption is yet another case of a volunteer foster failure. A wonderful family that volunteers for P2CC fell in love with her, and she is now enveloped in their love. Gail, we love you.
Gilbert was found roaming the streets alone. He is sweet, active, and loving. Did I mention active? He can't sit still for a minute. He wants to experience life at 100 mph. It didn't take long for a family to fall in love with him. Gilbert, we hope you always keep that zest for life that you have. We love you.
We love Mickey Lee so much. He was with us for over one year because he simply is not a flashy dog, so he was often overlooked by potential adopters. It was really their loss, because he is so sweet, playful, and well behaved. We were really starting to become very upset with the fact that no one showed interest in him, because Mickey Lee was starting to show signs of depression. He is so sensitive that we could see his stress level rising and it broke our hearts. We now know why it took so long for him to get adopted. He was waiting for this wonderful family to be ready to add a fur baby to their home. Mom said that she saw his picture online and could not get him out of her mind. Mickey Lee, no more stress for you. You are safe and sound with your loving family. You will be missed.
Pretty Dee Dee was originally adopted by a woman as a puppy, and was loved and spoiled for the first few years of her life. Dee Dee thought she had a forever home, but she was wrong. The mom found a boyfriend, moved in with him and his children, and since the boyfriend decided he didn't want Dee Dee with his children, Dee Dee was discarded by the person that she thought would love and protect her no matter what. She is such a sweet girl, so she wasn't with us long. She is now with her new family that includes two pug siblings, and is enjoying her fresh starte.. Have a beautiful life Dee De

We have no idea how a cute as a button puppy such as Jeffrey can end up on the streets alone and scared. He is such a sweet boy and so cute that everyone that sees him comments on the fact that he actually doesn't look real. He appears more like a stuffed animal...that's how cute he is. He is not homeless anymore. A family that has adopted from us fell in love and he is now living a life full of love. We miss you cutie pie.
Gunther was originally bought and lived in an apartment with his family. He has separation anxiety issues so he made some noise, cried and paced the floor when he was left alone. The neighbors complained, so the family got rid of him. That's ok though. He has been adopted by a wonderful mom that is working with him to alleviate his anxiety and loves him to pieces. Enjoy your mommy Gunther, and all her friends and family that are fighting for baby sitting rights when she needs to be away. You are so loved....anxiety and all.
Our "Chico Chico Boom Boom" is finally in the arms of a loving mom and dad. Chico was originally adopted from a high kill shelter as a Valentine's gift. He was then discarded like a piece of garbage. He is a 100% lap dog and just ridiculously sweet. His new mom loves him so much that she cooks organic chicken breast with rice and peas for him everyday, and puts chicken broth in his water every day just so that he remains hydrated. She realizes what a true gift Chico is. We love you Chico Rico Suave (his new full name).
Lucy was in a loving home with a married couple for a few years. That all changed when the couple got divorced and Lucy and her brother Benji became casualties of this new situation. She is such a beautiful and good girl and her new dad is spoiling her to pieces. Lucy, we pray that you are finally in your forever home. You deserve the best.
Molly's story is a reminder that abuse of animals isn't just inflicted from the hands of adults. Often, children or teenagers inflict the abuse, which more often than not is transferred to humans once they reach adulthood. Molly was spotted by a good samaritan being thrown into a busy street so cars could hit her. Every time poor Molly would run back to safety, they would grab her and throw her back on the street. The good samaritan stepped in, and Molly found her way to us. Petrified is not a sufficient word to describe how scared Molly was of humans when she came through our doors. It took quite some time and love, but she finally came out of her shell and learned that most humans are kind and caring. We are so happy that she found a mom and dad that have promised to love and protect her forever.
Gabriel is a victim of our notorious group of "foster failures." The family was already a foster failure once with one of our pups, so we had a sneaking suspicion that they would "fail" again. He worked his charm and now he is "home."
Charlotte came to us as a baby with her mom and two sisters. We watched her blossom into a beautiful, confident, sweet and playful girl with the most adorable under bite. She is now in a home with a loving mom and dad and is ready to begin the rest of her life. We love you sweet baby.
If there was a prize for the most well behaved dog in the world, Toby would win that hands down...Sweet, obedient, playful, loves everyone and everything, and cute as can be...what more can anyone want in a furry family member? He is now part of a loving family and is spreading his light in their lives. They are one lucky family. We love you Toby.
George is part of our "Seinfeld" gang. He was born outside, under a shed . He came to us filthy, tiny, and covered in ticks and fleas. All that is in the past. He is home with two dads that are spoiling him and a fur brother that he can play with. George, you certainly left your mark here at P2CC.. We will never forget you.

Angie was spotted living outside by Miami International Airport. She had a huge tumor on her leg and was a matted mess. She is such a good and confident girl. She never once complained. After removing her tumor which thankfully was not cancerous, a great grooming and bath, and good food and love, Angie was ready for a home. She was scooped up by a wonderful couple. No more living outside for you pretty girl. Enjoy your new beginning.
Layka was abandoned at her vet's office by the family that supposedly loved her. How they could abandon such a beautiful, well behaved, and fun loving girl is beyond us. That's ok though. Their loss is her new family's gain. They absolutely adore her. Layka we truly miss you in the yard. Playtime is not the same, but we are so happy for you.
Opal was pregnant and at a high kill shelter. She was due to be euthanized when we rescued her. She gave birth to six beautiful babies at our rescue, and she trusted us from day one to help her care for them. She was such a good mom and she did everything she needed to do for them. It is now her turn to enjoy a new beginning. She has a wonderful new mom that walks her every day for two miles ,and gives her plenty of love and toys. Her mom is a good friend of one of the trainers that volunteers here, so we are lucky in the sense that we will be getting frequent updates and pictures of this special gem. We love you momma.
Allie was found wandering the streets with her daughter, Desi. She is so sweet and well mannered that it is hard to believe that no one was looking for her. She will no longer have to wander the streets alone again. She has a family that adores her and is ready to spoil her as she so deserves. Have a beautiful new life Allie.
